We are looking for a Sales Support Assistant
Location: Telford
Salary: £25,000-27,500
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday
Work pattern: Hybrid, 3 days in the office
About the role
The Sales Support Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the sales team, ensuring timely processing of orders, accurate documentation, and excellent partner and customer communication. This role helps maintain sales momentum by coordinating activities across internal teams and contributing to efficient sales operations.
Key responsibilities
Order Processing: Accurately enter and process sales orders, quotes and amendments in CRM and order management systems. Track order progress and update stakeholders on status.
Customer & Partner Communication: Act as a professional point of contact for customers and partners for routine sales enquiries, providing clear and timely updates via phone and email.
Sales Administration: Prepare and maintain sales documentation, contracts, pricing schedules and product information. Support the sales team with paperwork required for contract execution.
CRM & Data Management: Keep CRM records and sales databases accurate and up to date. Log interactions, opportunities and reminders to support pipeline accuracy and reporting.
Reporting Support: Assist in producing routine sales reports and performance dashboards. Highlight discrepancies and provide basic analysis to support decision-making.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with internal teams to resolve order issues and ensure a smooth handover from sales to service delivery.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the simplification of sales processes and templates, identifying opportunities to reduce friction and speed up order-to-delivery times.
Digital Adoption: Promote and support the use of self-serve tools and internal portals to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
About you
Experience in an administrative or customer-facing role, ideally supporting a sales or account management function.
Comfortable working in a high-volume environment and prioritising competing tasks.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills, including telephone and email correspondence.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Familiarity with CRM and ticketing systems (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow) or willingness to learn quickly.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build productive working relationships.
Customer-focused mindset, calm under pressure and committed to delivering outcomes.
It would be great if you have any of the following, but it's not essential:
Experience in the telecoms or technology sector.
Previous exposure to order management or billing processes.
Experience developing reports or contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent).
Right to work in the UK.
